Plan Your SUTIL Event

We’re so glad that you’d like us to visit your school!

Our Post-Secondary Education (PSE) events provide your grade 9-12 students with the chance to exercise their curiosity and expand their notion of what’s possible by meeting representatives from post-secondary institutions across Western Canada whether they’re interested in college, university, trades, technical school, career specific training, or simply haven’t decided yet. As the united face of post-secondary education in the province, we want students to feel confident pursuing their goals at the institution that best suits them and to feel excited about the next chapter of their life.

SUTIL is here to make planning your event a breeze. Our September-December travel is divided by region and managed by a PSE committee member. Your contact from the committee will help you choose a format, can suggest options for easy planning, will email you a “What to Expect” package at the beginning of the semester, and can answer your SUTIL related questions. We’ll do our best to accommodate your school’s needs.

Before we begin, there are few things we’d like you to know:

New Website: You are here! We hope that you find this site to be a valuable resource for keeping up to date on all things SUTIL. On this site you can also sign up for our quarterly newsletter and follow us on social media.

—  Member Attendance at Events: Our full members attend all events. Associate members will contact the host school directly to request permission to participate in the event.

Full Members: These members make up the SUTIL executive and consist of representatives from the University of Regina (and federated colleges Campion and Luther), The University of Saskatchewan (and federated college St. Thomas More College), Lakeland College, Saskatchewan Apprenticeship, and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

Associate Members: The makeup of Associate Members changes yearly as institutions join and leave our organization. They request permission to attend the events they are interested in.

—  Event Timing: It is important that events end on time so that we may safely travel to our next destination.

Non-Members at Events: Local employers may be included in events. If a Non-SUTIL post-secondary institution would like to attend, they must contact the SUTIL Chair to obtain permission from the SUTIL Executive.

—  Other Schools: We want to provide information to as many Saskatchewan students as possible. You are encouraged to invite neighbouring schools to attend the event if your school has capacity to do so!

—  Set Up & Take Down: We can arrive early to assist with set up. When possible, we can also help with take down.

—  Refreshments, such as coffee, are always appreciated!
