Into casual dating? Read to find out how effective are dating apps in Allahabad?

For long, the idea of casual dating has been shunned by Indians, owing to the prevalent culture wherein it is only the long term relationships that receive validation from the society

Dont have a date for this Valentines day in Allahabad yet? Well rest your worries, NYOOOZ Allahabad is here with a detailed report of how effective are dating apps in Allahabad? Along with a 5-pointer unfallable tip list on how to crack every swipe right! BY: Saumya Mishra

Smartphones have changed our lives straight from the way we get up in the morning to the way we sleep at night. Even the way we connect communicate with People happens via our super smart phones, Email, SMS, Calls, WhatsApp, Facebook and what not! Online Dating is a thing, which has finally started to make space in the Indian arena.

However, the youth now seems to be well prepared to break these shackles and explore a whole new world of better possibilities. That being said, considering the basic mind-set of the tier 2 and tier 3 audiences, many a dating apps in the nation have chosen to be called relationships app, wherein their ulterior motive is to help people find the love of their lives, rather than just a casual date!

While dating apps are a thing in the western countries, India has also not left a stone unturned to catch up the trendy affair of finding interesting people based on their locations. With a number of dating apps, both international and home grown, being an active part of the online world, NYOOOZ Allahabad is here with a detailed test of how effective are dating apps like, Badoo, TrulyMadly, Happn, Woo, Bumble, Moco and the most known Tinder, in Allahabad. Tinder claims it has seen a 400% jump in its downloads in India in the last one year. Its overall appeal in a country with an overwhelmingly young population is on expected lines. However, what surprised many is the claim that Indian women were more active swiping on profiles than men, especially after a series of media reports on Indian men not finding any matches on Tinder.

More than 95% of the men who are using or have used these dating apps in Allahabad are super-dissapointed and say that these apps just DO NOT WORK! While 99% women said they could actually find a nice date on Tinder and Happn.

Also, in a city where even serious dating is just becoming a thing, casual dating looks like a thing of the future, but no wonders it does work for a lot of Allahabadis! (coz we are not dinosaurs)

Yes. It has one of the largest user base in India, and if you too have seen your local paanwaala using this app, you know it is big. Being the most talked about app in web-series, films and the online dating world, this app happens to the most effective in the 5 apps that we tested. All one has to do is swipe right if she/he like a profile or swipe left if they dont. Jusgement is done on a very narrow basis, which is restricted to a short bio and a few pictures. So both men and women have to make that first impression hit the right spot.

However, one major drawback that we spotted in the usage of most of the apps is the gender ratio. There is a huge difference in the number of girls and boys using Tinder in Allahabad. A girl has much more options to choose from the huge number of guy looking for the right match and this fact remains the same for all the other dating appss According to the 20 highly-active male users of Tinder, they have never swiped a girl left, thats also because they do not have options. On the other hand, NYOOOZ Allahabad also spoke to a number of girls on tinder (though not a huge one) and found that girls have the liberty to swipe left all day and still not find ‘The one. Sharing a rather funny incident, a 28-year-old Tinder user said that once he swiped right on a girl and they agreed to meet at 0500 hrs in the morning at Sangam. After the initial conversation she revealed the real reason behind using Tinder in Allahabad and asked the boy for some stuff to smoke up! (Yeah! Seems like we have some real badass women in the city)

Happn happens to be another just-finely effective app in Allahabad. Unlike Tinder, not many know or use this app in the city. This app works on a litlle different basis than Tinder. Once someone, using Happn, crosses your path and they are reflected in your list, you can choose to send them a heart and if they send that heart back to you it becomes a crush. While testing the effectiveness of this app in Allahabad, NYOOOZ Allahabad came across several people who are using it to find dates in the city for this valentine.

A 21-year-old student in the city revealed an interesting fact about this app. She said, “Though a lot of men are common on most of the dating apps, for example, she found 3 men she showed interest in, on several dating apps.” She also said that though these men are open to casual dating, some of them really creep you out.

Out of Badoo, TrulyMadly, Happn, Woo, Bumble and Moco, Badoo is the most effective with a good number of girls using it in Allahabad. Also, there are a few not-so-popular-dating apps in the city like QuackQuack and mingle, who claim to be effective but are not even close to it!

Does Tinder work in India?

All said and done, these dating apps are a huge success for women and because of a few pervy men, a huge dissapointment for most of the men. So if all you Allahabadi guys really want to crack a good online date on these apps, stick to our website for the next article, where well reveal a list of things that make both girls and boys swipe right and send hearts!

Even though I am over a half a Century old, I have been inspired by the group to go for higher education. I have applied to the University of Regina and I got accepted. I plan on taking classes there and there and I pray and hope I will be successful to obtain two more degrees before I reach age 55. I want to be a role model for the students, my family, and the community. Before retiring I will tackle Masters.

Happy Friday the 13th of December,

Thank you for The SUTIL Scoop and the SUTIL team visit at Rhoda Hardlotte Keethanow High School in Northern Saskatchewan. I noticed some of the team members were into Volleyball during the noon hour. Maybe that is how the team works; to have fun and to laugh and to warm up before presenting to the students and staff. Great Team! Thank you once again, SUTIL Team.

Hi Linda and Cheryl,

Thank you on behalf of Nutana Collegiate for bringing your event to our students. I have been hearing nothing but positive feedback in the building since this morning. Being new in the career facilitator role in my building, I can’t tell you how grateful I am for having such a well-organized and easy (from the host school perspective) event to offer to my students. All of the hard work that you have put in is much appreciated. I look forward to future events.
