Description:

The University of Regina is a medium-sized institution that offers over 150 programs in nine undergraduate faculties. We aim for everyone in our diverse student body to find balance between work and play and truly find a community as they begin their post-secondary adventure. With three Federated Colleges, campus locations in Regina, Saskatoon, and Prince Albert, and programs offered through regional colleges across the province, we meet students where they are at and assist them in achieving their academic goals.

Our programs integrate course work, engaged learning, and extracurricular opportunities to ensure students are ready to excel in their field. Paid Co-op work placements, over 450 Study Abroad locations, and the UR Guarantee Program are just a few of the opportunities that set our students ahead of the rest after graduation.  No matter where U of R students are working on their programs, our programs and services will set them up for success.

A few key highlights that makes this institution unique:

  • Our Registered Nursing program in collaboration with Saskatchewan Polytechnic is the only direct-entry RN program in the province.
  • We offer the only Social Work program in Saskatchewan.
  • We have the most opportunities for students to take part in a study abroad program of all Saskatchewan institutions.
  • We have the most Co-op work opportunities of all other institutions in Saskatchewan combined.
  • Our on-campus housing features modern apartment accommodations and provides every student an individual bedroom and a community of support on campus.

Ultimately, what do you want students to know about this institution:

Students can find their home away from home at the University of Regina. Our dedicated staff help each student find a program that matches their goals and makes sure they are supported along the way. Our faculty members provide quality education that will challenge students and help them grow into the best version of themselves as they take on the world ahead.

Testimonials

Even though I am over a half a Century old, I have been inspired by the group to go for higher education. I have applied to the University of Regina and I got accepted. I plan on taking classes there and there and I pray and hope I will be successful to obtain two more degrees before I reach age 55. I want to be a role model for the students, my family, and the community. Before retiring I will tackle Masters.

Happy Friday the 13th of December,

Thank you for The SUTIL Scoop and the SUTIL team visit at Rhoda Hardlotte Keethanow High School in Northern Saskatchewan. I noticed some of the team members were into Volleyball during the noon hour. Maybe that is how the team works; to have fun and to laugh and to warm up before presenting to the students and staff. Great Team! Thank you once again, SUTIL Team.

Hi Linda and Cheryl,

Thank you on behalf of Nutana Collegiate for bringing your event to our students. I have been hearing nothing but positive feedback in the building since this morning. Being new in the career facilitator role in my building, I can’t tell you how grateful I am for having such a well-organized and easy (from the host school perspective) event to offer to my students. All of the hard work that you have put in is much appreciated. I look forward to future events.
